Yes, auditions!  We will be holding several rounds of auditions before the actual show finalists are selected.  
 
The first rounds of Auditions will be held at:
 The Hospitality Suite, Brighton & Hove FC, Withdean Stadium, Tongdean Lane, Brighton, BN1 5JD.

On: Sunday 20th March 2011, Sunday 27th March 2011 and Sunday 3rd April 2011.

* You will be requested to attend at least one of these dates for your first audition.  

* Once you have been notified of your initial audition date and time, it cannot be changed. 

* You will need to bring along your entry acceptance letter with your Audition number. 

* You will be at this audtion for approximately one hour including waiting time.

* Late arrival or not turning up for the audition will all automatically void your application, and you will immediately be withdrawn from the contest.
 
If you are successful in the first round audition, you will be asked to come back to our second and final round of Auditions on Saturday 9th and / or Sunday 10th April  2011. This round of auditions will take all day. Location to be confirmed.

At this final audition up to 16 acts will be selected to perform in the “Live Final Show” to an audience of around 1000 people on Sunday 25th of April, 2011. At: The Theatre Royal, New Road, Brighton. The show starts at 4pm.

Finalists will be given a time to arrive, and must arrive ready to perform.

Any act not getting through this final stage will still be given a chance to perform on the night, as all unsuccessful acts from the second round will receive a “Golden Ticket” to hand in on the night of the show, and one of these acts will be randomly selected from the audience to perform there and then!

One winner will go home with £500 and the title “Most Talented 2011”.

Please note all successful applicants must purchase and hold a seat ticket for the show as they will need to be seated and watch the show with family members and supporters, after / before performing.

What kind of auditions?

In the first round of auditions you will have to perform in front of a panel of judges. 

You will have a maximum of 3.5 minutes to impress them.

In this round if you are a vocalist you will have to perform without accompaniment / music.

The judges will decide by majority decision – you need the majority of them to say “YES” to get through to the 2nd round!

In the second round which will be tougher, you will also perform in front of all the other second round contestants, and you will be need to provide any backing music  at this stage.

During this round of auditions the judges will be looking to select acts from different category ranges: such as age, as well as confidence, type of talent etc

Refreshments will be available to purchase during the auditions.

All performances must be a maximum of 3.5 minutes. Singers will not be able  to change their song choice after the second round of auditions.

Please book in for your audition on time, which will be stated on your acceptance letter. Late arrivals will not be allowed to audition.

What if I get through to the Final Show?

Up to 16 acts, including one golden ticket act, will be chosen to perform in a live show on 25th April 2011 at 4pm, in front of a live audience of over 1000 paying guests at The Theatre Royal, Brighton.

The audience will vote by ballot, and select their favourite winning act. Each paying member of the audience will be given two separate votes, along with these votes a panel of independent judges will help make the final decision on who has won, and the winning act will receive the £500 prize money.

If you get through to this stage you will be expected to attend any /all show rehearsals, as and when deemed necessary by the organizers.
 
All of the final acts will perform live either in the first or second part of the show, and then there will be a 30 min break.

In the third section of the show, the audience will be entertained by our compare(s), and special guests before the Grand Prize giving, in which one of our acts will walk away with a £500 cheque and the honour of being voted as Most Talented 2011.
